Looking to adopt a dog in Alberta? At Four Feet and a Heartbeat, we make it easy to find your perfect match. As a no-kill dog shelter serving all of Western Canada, we help rescue dogs find loving homes through a simple and supportive adoption process.

Step 1: Review Our Adoptable Dogs

Head to our Adoptable Dogs page to browse all current pups. We update this list regularly, so check back often!
Each dog has their own story, personality, and unique needs—take time to read through and find the one that fits your lifestyle.

Step 2: Read the Adoption Contract

You’ll find our [Adoption Docs and Policies] linked right on the site. We believe in full transparency and want you to feel confident every step of the way.

Step 3: Reach Out

When you’re ready, email us to express interest and schedule a visit. Our team will help coordinate a time for you to meet the dog in person.

Step 4: Visit, Match, and Complete the Adoption

Once everything lines up, we’ll walk you through a simple paperwork process and send you home with your new furry best friend—vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and ready for love.
